Dr. Patrick S. Anderson is a Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologist, with over 23 years of experience in the field. Dr. Anderson completed his residency training in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/ New Jersey Medical School. In addition to his private practice, he was recently appointed Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Anderson has received awards and honors from national organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the American Institute of Chemistry and is an active researcher and teacher on a variety of subjects in his areas of expertise. He has been selected by his peers twice as one of the top doctors in his field. In May 2014, he was honored by the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders with the “Health Care Professionals Recognition” Award.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists. He has co-authored articles that have appeared in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals such as Gynecological Oncology, Journal of Radiation Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Women’s Health.
His practice specializes in the care of women with gynecologic cancers and other complicated gynecologic conditions. As a surgeon, Dr. Anderson performs both traditional surgeries, laparoscopic and daVinci robotic procedures. Dr. Anderson manages and cares for patients who are receiving on-going cancer treatment with chemotherapy and radiation.
Dr. Anderson is board certified in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.
